Opening a Sportball franchise typically starts at $50,000 USD for most territories. In addition to the initial franchise fee, prospective owners should also budget for additional operating costs such as equipment, staffing, insurance, marketing, and local licensing fees. For a detailed breakdown of all costs and financial obligations, it’s important to review the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), which outlines the full investment requirements and ongoing fees.
Business Model & Operations
Nope! We’re all about flexibility. Programs run in parks, gyms, schools, childcare centers, anywhere that welcomes fun on an hourly basis. Some partners run admin tasks from home, others prefer an office. Your call. Your whistle.
Franchisees typically spend their week hiring and training coaches, booking venues like schools and community centers, managing class schedules, and running local marketing to grow participation. Engaging with families and ensuring high program quality is also a key part of the role.
No! Most franchise partners come from business or child enrichment backgrounds and our Growth Coaches help you play to your strengths. If you can lead with heart, we can coach the rest.
It depends on your growth and goals! Some partners start with 2–3 coaches and scale to 200+.
While it’s possible to begin part-time during the initial setup phase, Sportball strongly recommends having at least one full-time leader involved from day one. The franchise is designed as a full-time opportunity to maximize community impact and business growth.
Simple: You run high-quality sport classes → families pay for programs → you pay coaches and venue fees → and manage regular business overhead. Fun with purpose and a strong financial foundation.
Sportball is designed as a full-time business for those seeking long-term growth and impact. While some parents may begin part-time during the early setup, the franchise model works best when there is full-time leadership to build strong community relationships and grow the program effectively.
